Week 9 – Grattitude and Giving

you can do it

Looking back on this week I have to say it was a week with contrasts on different areas. This week my holiday ended, so it was back to regular schedule. And as being back to full programm from morning to evening I found it hard to commit to all the tasks of the MKMMA. It went up and downs on that area. And yes, I procastinated. The old subby kicked in again. And as every action or non-action is a decision of myself I know I am fully responsible on how I acted on the “temptations” of my old subby. So in the weekend I am planning to get some extra work done for the MKMMA. Making a new recording with different music and make some adjustments to my DMP. The new subby is definitely gonna win. Yes, it is.

It was also a very nice week, seeing the progress I make on other areas and doing the new assignment. For this week (and the following weeks to come) we have to talk to an accountability-partner daily and tell him/her a part of our Definite Major Purpose of Life and tell that partner what we would do that day to get a step closer to that goal. There is a reason behind “this madness”, all those tasks we have to do in this program. This one is because of the seven ways one learnes, spatially, musically, interpersonally, intrapersonal, mathematically, linguistically and athletically. Each person has a couple of favorites, but in this programm Mark J. and his Fabelous Davene wanna adress all the seven ways to get the maximum out of it, leaving nothing to change. The daily conversation adresses the interpersonally learning-style. This conversation with this partner doesn’t have to be a long conversation, it can be done in a minute each. A fellow-MKMMA-er and I decided we would work together. Well, it was and is very very nice to do. Mainly my accountability-partner and I had contact through the voice-recording of WhatsApp, because of our different schedules, and that worked very very well. We told each other what we wanted to do that day and encouraged one another. We spoke out a lots of “You can do it”. Nice to have someone around committed to do the work. So, I also wanna thank my partner for her encouragements this week towards me and give her credit for the great work she does.

I also noticed some great progress on the Mental Diet and the No opinion-task this week. I’ve watched and heared people around me having opinions about several stuff and I just watched. Not every time, but sure feeling less and less the need for giving a comment, so also becoming even more aware on which words to speak. If you want to set a positive goal, you can describe it in a positive way, but also a negative way. The difference is that saying it in a positive way, supports a positive outcome, saying in a negative way, it isn’t. I am not there yet, but growing and learning and practising the law of substitution.

Also I’d like to write a bit about the 4 Laws of Giving and Recieving, because I’ve read something very nice and very inspiring earlier this week. The 4 Laws of Giving and Recieving are:

Wherever I go I bring a gift. I may bring a prayer, a compliment, a trinket, a flower, but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

I promise to be a grateful receiver of gifts that surround me; noticing nature, kindness, smiles, and compliments, which I gladly receive with a thank you.

I promise to give hope for joy, affluence, kindness, and love continuously with every encounter regardless of brevity.

I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

The story I’ve read earlier this week really made me think about what I can do more to give more. It is about a father who entered his home, finding two armed robbers in his home. He and his family came out well out of this event. And instead of being angry towards the robbers he choose to give something to the two young boys, a possibility for free education if they turn themselves in. He doesn’t expect something in return for himselve, but he wants to consciously contribute to a better world for his children. Beautiful! If you want, you can read the complete story over here.

With love,

Chantal
