Week 13 – A quote of Haanel

spiritual practice

For this week I like to share with you a quote of Haanel from chapter 13 of the Master Key System.

“23. Thought is a spiritual activity and is therefore creative, but make no mistake, thought will create nothing unless it is consciously, systematically, and constructively directed; and herein is the difference between idle thinking, which is simply a dissipation of effort, and constructive thinking, which means practically unlimited achievement.”

In this week’s chapter I really enjoyed this quote. It reminded me that spirituality is so much much more than meditating and doing yoga, which I like to do by the way ;-). It is so much deeper embedded in our day to day life. That is why I also love the quote of Thich Nhat Hanh in the picture above. If you think about good things for 10 minutes a day, you cannot expect it to create enormous change in your life. It’s like eating junk food and drinking soda all day plus one apple and thinking that “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Hmm, this makes me wanna reflect some more on the quote of Thich Nhat Hanh a bit more. And in case you might wonder: In general I do eat very very healthy and no soda’s… 😉

Enjoy your day!

With love,

Chantal

  1. I like the comparison of expecting results from 10 minutes mind work and eating 1 apple a day in between junk food. Thanks, brought a different perspective to me.

  3. Thank You for sharing the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, they connect beautifully with the message of the Master Key. And, yes, “One apple a day keeps the doctor away!” – only when it´s organic, non GMO and in addition to a healthy diet 😉

    Mahalo, I appreciate You!

    • Thanks for your kind words again, Claes. You are totally right about the apple. Don’t know about your “diet”, but for myself I can say I certainly eat healthy. Only a slip once in a while. 😉
